Compassionate Mental Health Care for All

The feelings of deep, unresolved pain and suffering we experience can be so pervasive they feel impossible to manage. Mental Health Care helps to transform lives.

I chose to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide supportive treatment where it is needed most: in communities where otherwise there would not be any service available or access to resources.

Are You Looking for a Treatment that is Outside the Box?

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

Eagala is a revolutionary mental health practice that uses experiential therapy with horses to help people understand themselves better.

I’m both a Mental Health and an Eagala Certified professional. The Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) is an international, evidence based practice that relies on horses and psychotherapists to work together providing a unique, and effective immersive therapeutic experience.

Horse experience is not necessary, as it is a ground-based and safe form of Hippotherapy. There is no riding. Instead, the horse, you and I, are free to interact with each other in an open outdoors space.

I am one of the few EAGALA equine certified specialists in Montana, who is also a certified and experienced mental health professional.

Who Benefits from EAGALA therapy:

Equine therapy is an excellent treatment that helps a variety of problems. It works well for children and adolescents with learning issues and trauma. And is a fantastic immersive option for adults experiencing various trauma, depression, anxiety, eating and substance use disorders,  ADD/ADHD, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders.

How those it work?

Through EAGALA sessions clients discover new truths about themselves, gaining the courage to heal their own suffering. It’s led to great success in the past — and it will work for you, too. During the session, you can talk about what you want, you will feel in control at all times.

How long does equine therapy last?

Unlike traditional treatments, Eagala therapy works fast. Clients experience rapid changes after a few sessions  — often lasting long after the therapy session is over.

What some of the benefits of equine therapy?

Research as found that Equine Therapy benefit include learning to express feelings freely and positively, better management of emotions, better impulse control, increased trust, feeling less isolated, increase in assertiveness, and a decrease in negativity and self-absorption.
